Neil Wainwright

I've been in the fire and security trade since I was 18. Now at 49, with over 30 years of experience, I’ve grown from a hands-on engineer into a company director and co-founder of Connect Fire Security, alongside Stuart.

I began my career with companies like Able Alarms, working my way up through the ranks from engineer to project manager. That journey gave me deep, practical experience in installing and managing systems like intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and gate automation.

In 2021, Stuart and I launched Connect Fire Security to bring our combined expertise and commitment to quality under one roof. We’ve built the company on a foundation of trust, technical know-how, and a straightforward, honest approach to doing the job right.

When I’m not working, I have a real passion for the arts. I enjoy performing in amateur theatre productions and love being behind the scenes just as much — especially helping with sound engineering. I also present my own radio shows, combining my love for music, broadcasting, and community involvement.

Bringing together my technical background and creative interests, I’ve learnt that communication, attention to detail, and teamwork are just as important on stage or on air as they are on-site — and I bring that same energy and passion into every project we take on at Connect.
